5Silence is Golden
By Walter P. Wilson
I purchased the Go Power GP-SW300-12 inverter on 8/16/2010. Today is December 16th, 2012.I am writing this review because I mounted it in my new truck this afternoon, and it deserves credut for it's service. It has run flawlessly 5 days a week 8 hours a day previously mounted on the transmission hump just beneath the dash in my old F-250 Pick UP. I wired it through a lighted toggle switch mounted on the dash. It is switch on in the morning, and switch it off at the end of the day. It powers a Tough Book Laptop, and an HP model H-450 Inkjet printer simultaneously. The reason I bought it was because the previous four modified sine wave inverters I owned lasted only about 6 months each. The fans in the modified sine wave inverters ran constantly, and sounded like an airplane taking off. It did not matter if the ambient temperature was 30 degrees the fans would run constantly in the cheaper inverters. When the fan moters burned out the inverters would overheat and stop working. I got acclimated to the noise, but I hated it.The fan on the the Go Power GP-SW300-12 only comes on when the windows are rolled up, and the truck is sitting in the South Georgia sun in summertime with the engine and air conditioner off. As soon as I get back in the truck, start the engine and air conditioner the fan goes off.The four modified sine wave inverters over the previous two year period were more expensive than the Go Power GP-SW300-12 cosidering the cost of +/- $50.00 each for the cheaper units. I previously owned a Belkin, a Vector, and two store brand units bought at auto parts stores. They were each rated at 400 watts and all were modified sine wave inverters.Totaly silent and reliable the Go Power GP-SW300-12 has been the most economical inverter I have ever owned. Silence truely is Golden.

4Very good inverter
By Michael Ratliff
I am using this inverter in my Jayco Jay Flight 26BH to power my CPAP and it has done the job fantastically. However there has been a couple little annoying things I discovered about it. Although the length of the included cable is not listed on Amazon's website, I did some searching around and found out they are suppose to be 4 feet long. They are actually 3 feet long. I contacted Go Power! and they stated that the cables should be 4 feet long. Oops! The other annoying problem was that Go Power!'s remote switches don't work with this inverter. Their support line informed me that a standard light switch would work. I bought one and some #18 wire and was able to use that for the remote switch. Oh and there was one other small issue as well. I had difficulties attaching the included crimp on connectors as the cable ends were soldered and were just a smidgen too big. I tapped them on with a small hammer. I have no solder gun to remelt it.

5Fantastic customer service!!!!
By pizzaguy
I purchased this inverter to power my 43 inch plasma and bluray while boondocking in my travel trailer. It works great!!! Unfortunately I had to leave the battery connection cables behind (due to my installation) when I traded in for a fifth wheel so I needed new cables. I search all over the internet and came up empty. So I emailed GoPower asking if they had some for sale. Customer Rep Stephan returned an email stating they did not sell the cables separately but he would see if he could find some around the warehouse. I provided him my address and LO AND BEHOLD what arrived by FedEx in a few days but a new set of cables!!!! At no charge also!!!Now THAT is customer service!!!! I wish other companies I dealt with were this appreciative of my business!
