My company purchased this unit to step down 230VAC to 110VAC for some electronic equipment. We noticed interference right after connecting a waveform monitor to this converter. On closer inspection of this converter, we found the neutral and ground wires reversed internally!

I bought a couple of these before visiting India. The quality is definitely much better than the crap you normally get there but these are heavy and a little expensive (which is why I feel they are worth 4 stars). The weight consumed is precious since the current baggage limit on flights only allows for 2 50lb checkin bags.Have used them for a month without problem.

We purchased this product after moving from Australia to the US to enable us to use some of our Australian (240V) appliances. I have used it solely for my sewing machine. This converter is compact for easy storage. It does what you would expect it to do. There's really nothing more to comment on! My only criticism is that it would be slightly easier to use if the power cord was longer in length.
