I had hoped that since this was an inverter, the USB would be isolated from the 12V input. I'm not certain if it is or not, because I haven't taken it apart to look yet, but I still get bad ground loop noise when using this to power my media player and connect it into the vehicles sound system.

I used this to power a 25-watt set of little computer speakers for about 5 hours, since my radio was dead. About a year later, I tried to plug my iphone in to charge, and about 20 minutes later the phone said it wasn't charging. The little green LED on the inverter was no longer on. Double-checked it in another vehicle; still dead.This thing also ran really, really hot. Maybe I got a bad one?

wagan 2107-6 smart ac 80 usb inverter. my daughter uses it all the time. it's great. this one was bought to replace a previouse one that stareted to blow the fuse.
