I bought two of this product in hoping that each could illuminate 5x20Watts Halogen lights...but guess what? Each could not light up more than two 20w bulbs. I contacted the seller after 35 days and they provided me with an RMA (good seller) but did not get a chance to return within 5 days window (during Christmas shopping). Don't expect support or any sort of warranty from Topstar Manufacturer either (I tried). So I ended up buying RS12-150 (12V/150W) Hatch RS12-150-Transformers from Halogen Lighting. More expensive but they worked nicely.

We purchased this to replace the transformer in a Magnesium light set from IKEA. I wanted to be able to add more lights to the track and ended up burning out the original transformer. Not only was this a higher wattage unit but it also fit snugly into the light fixture casing. I would have given it 5 stars, but we fried the first replacement out after 15 months of use. It is installed in the dining/kitchen and is probably on at least 8 hrs a day in the winter and 3hrs in the summer. (We are in Montana where winter lasts from Oct-May...) Still easier than replacing the whole lighting unit!

This item never worked. It doesn't seem it was tested before shipped out. I can not ask for any refund since I purchased it a year ago and just today had a chance to install it. I wished I would have tested it before I took apart my kitchen fan :-(
