Battery Operating Time
The typical vehicle battery has a minimum operating time of 1 to 2 hours, depending on the current use of the load being driven. We recommend that the operator start the vehicle every hour to recharge the battery system. this will prevent unexpected shut downs of equipment and will ensure that there is always sufficient battery capacity to start the engine.
Note:
The alarm may sound momentarily when the unit is being connected to, or disconnected from the power source. This is normal and does not indicate any problems.

By John Hogan
Bought it on Amazon for a fair price. This will run about a 12 amp load which generally includes a small fridge, microwave oven, a couple of CFC type lights. I can run my Power saw (13 amp saw) but not at full speed (so I do not use it for that or it would burn up my saws motor). I use it SOLELY to run during a power outage to run a couple of CFC lights so I can see what I am doing, and my Microwave oven so I can cook something to eat and it works fine for that purpose using a single Deep cycle battery hooked into a small solar panel.I have bucko supplys of canned meats, veges, fruits, etc so I am not concerned about running an always on Refrigerator. The rest of my important stuff (well pump, septic pump, and other lights/tv/etc) I use my Generator to run as it is needed during a serious Power outage. This unit DOES have a couple of fans in it to keep it cool and is fairly quiet when it is running. Like all such invertors it is NOT meant to be left outside in the rain or elements nor fully covered (or the fans in it are useless). I have mine placed in a 3 sided enclosure (so one side allows good venting) yet protects the rest from horizontal rain (which we do get here in Florida).Overall expect around 1500-2000 watts out of this unit with a surge (refrigerator, etc) of a bit higher at the units startup.
