Note that you do need a step-down converter (as is provided in this kit) for some appliances (and, in particular, many chargers for rechargeable batteries). If you have an appliance that you use in the U.S. (120v) check to see if it takes 220-240v; if it doesn't, you'll need the heavy converter (if you just plug it in, you'll likely destroy your electronic device. Take it from someone who's done it).

I am sure this is a great product, but after ordering it, I found out I only needed one adapter for my trip to Israel, so I returned the product unused.

The unit was so heavy that it just kept falling right out of the wall socket. Also, unless you have really old-school electronics or electrical appliances made for a different country, you will be fine with just an adapter. There is no need for a power transformer anymore, so I learned. This is especially the case with laptop power supplies. E.g. the MacBook Pro 17" power supply takes 100-240V as input. So, using with a simple socket adapter in Spain worked perfectly fine. Same with the iPhone charging cable. In the end, I threw away this piece of junk so I wouldn't have the extra weight in my baggage coming back home.
