The THG-200 is rated at 200 watts maximum, each features a standard heavy-duty cord with European plug free European to American outlet plug adapter and one grounded outlet on the front panel for both US & European plugs.
For safety, it's recommended by the manufacturer that the voltage transformer's maximum power should be equal or greater than the power rating of your appliance multiplied by 1.5. For example, if you have an appliance rated at 100 watts, you will need to pick a transformer with a maximum power of 150 watts or greater.

I picked this voltage transformer because of its compact size. I used it for four days on a recent business trip to Europe (approx two hours of use per day). It worked great.One note - The three times that I took this in my carry-on luggage on the airplane, my bag was flagged for inspection specifically because of this unit's appearance in the security X-ray screenings. No problems, just FYI. Caused a few minutes of delay each time.

I bought this converter to use European kitchen equipment in 110V country. After several days of use, I am so far very happy with the performance of the converter.The reason I am not giving it four stars and not five is the plug adapter that it came with. If you are planning to use it as a step down converter (220 to 110) you can skip this part. The very first time I tried to unplug the converter, US plug adapter split and left exposed connectors in the socket making it really hard to get it out without either electrocuting myself or using the fusebox to get it out. Adapter is very flimsy and you might want to be careful using it, or just get a different one.

I went to Brasil last year for three months and bought this to charge all the electronics that I brought with me. I used it with this travel power strip:Monster MP OTG400 BK Outlets To Go 4 Outlet Travel Power Strip (Black)This was Northeast Brasil, more specifically Recife/Joao Pessoa areas (the South, Southwest voltage/outlets may vary), and it worked perfectly with all outlets I used.Along with the power strip, this little (heavy) guy was able to charge multiple electronics at once (laptop, phone, portable gaming device). I always kept the voltage converter on a flat surface, away from anything flammable because every time I used the device, it would become scorching hot. That was my only problem with it. It never started smoking at any point, but I also wasn't leaving it plugged in for extended amounts of time.The product I received worked well and I would recommend it if you need a cheap converter. Use it in brief spurts and you should be able to avoid any potential catastrophes.
