the company pdf states this provides 1 amp but still not enough to power craftsman air pump. it probably has enough juice to power phone chargers, etc but that's not the purpose for which this was intended.usually when my air pump is plugged into a car outlet, the pump makes a loud buzzing sound as it pumps air into a tire. when plugged into this converter, the pump made a very soft buzzing sound. i turned it on and off a few times and reseated the plug in the converter a few times to make sure it made a tight connection but no change. then the pump stopped having any response. i replugged the pump into my car outlet and it went back to working normally.

i tried to use the power socket at different outlets just to make sure it was not my fault, but the power socket does not work with the 12 VOLT ELECTRIC AIR PUMP that i bought.

I bought this so I could run a vacuum pump with a DC plug. It runs it but not enough to supply any pressure. It does power a lamp. I wouldn't buy this again.
