I gave this product a 3 star for two reasons,but first let me state that as a Licensed residential/commercial/industrial Electrician I've come to know Generac for high quality after installing their generators.Now onto what I did not like about this product.I connected it to my solar battery bank a medium sized bank with PLENTY of amp hours @12vdc) and powered it on after reading the manual, and decided to gradually stress test it... all went well as i added a heavier and heavier load to it and 2 annoying things became apparent. Now mind you BOTH of these issues involve low amp draw items... One is a 60 watt incandescent replacement LED bulb made by Cree, draws .07 amps at 120v. The light flickers at random intervals, tested with another brand of LED light, same thing. Tested with an incandescent bulb 60 watt, same thing.2nd issue, a power transformer plugged into the 120vac outlet and then plugged into a 7" 12vdc powered HD TV causes inverter to make a slight clicking sound... cannot figure out why. Amp draw .7 amps @ 120vac... I realized these are light loads,but when i plugged in an iMac G3 (all in one pc) it had no problem supplying power and not a stutter from any of the lights. I then plugged in a coffee maker after killing power to everything else and the Generac inverter handled it just fine and the fan turned on and off under heavy load as it should.I've a 400 watt inverter by another company and under the light loads of TV and LED lights there is no flicker at random times like the Generac. Overall a good product and in a pinch I am sure it will be better than no power when commercial power is non-existant.

Very nice product works well. I have a Generac Generator so I thought their inverter made sense too. Very Happy!!

This inverter meets all of my needs on my solar board..small tools, charging laptop,cell phones hooked up week ago working great so far... for the money I think its a good deal
