Does not adapt to US

Adapter does not accomodate US 2-prong polarized plugs such as those found on curling irons and hair driers. Polarized plugs have one blade that is larger than the other and will not fit in the adapter.

Serviceable adapter

This adapter will cross a two pronged US power cord with a three pronged UK outlet. It will NOT convert votlage. It works well even after taking a beating inside my backpack. My only complaint is that the contacts for the US side don't grip the plug very tightly. So, my laptop plug occasionally slips out.
