Used this on a road trip recently to power a laptop. Worked great most of the time.Pros:Easy to angleNo noisy fanshuts itself off if overloadCons:pin on end of plug is not spring loadedThe pin not being spring loaded is a major problem with this device. Most auto electronics are spring loaded at the end to ensure good contact for positive. In practical terms, it means the device will turn itself off regularly due to losing contact inside the outlet. You can plug it in and it will work, but bumps in the road or a very minor brush against the unit will cause it to lose electrical contact. This is easily remedied by pushing it harder into the outlet, but this problem should not occur. My GPS was using an identical outlet and it never lost contact for weeks due to it's spring loaded design. This is a design problem and could be remedied by the manufacturer for pennies.

had to take a star off because there is no on/off switch and the point that goes into the cig outlet does not have a springvery small size and quietI only got one to test out, got it running two 4.8 watt LED light strings, so I'll see how long it holds up.UPDATE............this thing broke after the first use!?!? WTF? It was on a LED light string of a total of less than 10 watts!DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

First of all, understand that this is a 100 watt inverter. It won't be able to power too much. That being said, I am impressed with it, I have been able to power a laptop, router, and cable modem without any issues which is really all I got it for. I also liked that the construction doesn't look too cheap.A couple days ago I saw a 50 watt inverter at a truck stop that looked poorly made. It was selling for $16 ($6 more then I spent on this device) and all I could do was laugh because of how much more I got out of this inverter for almost half the price.
