Nice looking but no working

A very inviting price and attractive package including LED meter so I bought it. First power up and test using a 20 watt fluorescent lamp. AC voltage was 117 and frequency was right on 60Hz using a Kill-A-Watt meter. No problems however the inverter's meter did not register 20 watts and read "00". Tried a 900 watt microwave oven and the inverter immediately failed. Customer service was less than desirable. After 2 days they responded with no course of action saying they experienced a flood so I waited a week and opened the unit and found all 6 30A fuses blown. Replaced with new fuses and attempted to power up again and the unit failed. Together with our chief electrical engineer examined the inside and his opinion that the unit is not very well designed and more of a "prototype" The chassis is an aluminum heatsink but is not used by the components. There are two additional heatsinks inside that the power modules are mounted to and the wiring is crammed around these pinched against the sharp edges and restricting airflow from the cooling fan. Also noted were components stacked on the board rather than using correct value which is not a problem but shows it's not fully engineered. I finally received return instructions which I promptly followed and never heard back from them. One week after it was delivered to their door and no responses a full refund was requested through Amazon which was granted minus return shipping cost and fuses. A real shame as it was a nice looking, solid unit out of the box.
