Midspan Power Injector

1 port PoE injector, 10/100/10The current picture for this PoE injector shows two injectors, but you are shipped just one, and that's all you will need. This is a midspan injector, meaning it can be inserted at any point in an Ethernet cable. It is used to add voltage on unused lines in the data cable which will power a device which is 802.3af compliant. If your terminal device does not have this compliance, you will also need a splitter at the device to separate the data and voltage and route it to the proper jacks.Its electrical specifications state the nominal output voltage is rated at 45 to 56 VDC and minimum output power is 15.4 watts. I use this to power PoE equipment during bench testing or programming, and to also provide temporary power to devices during installations. It appears to do exactly what it says.
