5100 Series Auto Transfer Relay System - Pigtail - Generator to shore power auto transfer relay system. Heavy duty relays prevent contact damage during high current transfer operation. Quick change circuit board is easily replaced in the event of failure. Time delay circuit board ensures generator voltage is at proper level before transfer occurs. Built-in strain reliefs allow the installer to simply push the branch circuit wires inside the unit for connection. Screw-type wiring terminals not available on model PD5110010V. Comes with a protective cover. 30 amp auto transfer relay system.

What can i say "Great product".

This box is designed very well. The wiring is easy. The 2 top wires are the exit power.the 2 middle wires are the generator, wind generator or solar power with an inverter.the 2 bottom wires are the Home power or power coming from and outlet.I wired my in about any where from 30 to 45 minutes.I am very pleased with this product and will recommend it to anybody.

Simple to install and wire with basic electrical skills

I'm using this transfer relay to safely use my 1500W AC inverter and solar panel. I have never installed a transfer relay before but basically you want to kill the juice in the power cord and pick up power from another source. Commonally a generator is used for this relay, but any 120V AC source will work. The wiring diagram inside the lid is good and easy to understand. Basically white to white, black to black and a green ground bar. The unit is wired between the power cord and the converter. The switch delay for secondary power is nice. It allows for a delay in transfer to allow the start-up power source to stabilize before transfer. The delay is about 20 sec. and is seamsless and smooth. The only reason I didn't give it a five star the crimped connectors on the pigtails at the screw connectors pulled loose while handling the ends. I re-crimped all pigtail wires at the screw terminals. Maybe the other model without the pigtails would be better. Then you could put the wires directly under screw terminals.
