Does exactly as designed, customer service needs to IMPROVE

This is an excellent inverter, and it does exactly as the Xantrex product description states. Vernon's biggest problem is he did not understand the description furnished by Xantrex. His problem with Xantrex customer service is valid. Unfortunately for Vernon, Xantrex is very reluctant to help customers that did not purchase the product direct from Xantrex or a designated dealer. Vernon is being treated as if he purchased the inverter second hand. I suggest phoning Xantrex corporate from 5:30am-5:00pm PST, Mon-Fri at 1-800-670-0707, and explain the problem. Xantrex builds fine products, their customer service needs improving. If more people like Vernon voice their complaints directly to corporate, maybe we will see an improvement.

Terrible customer service

The Trace inverter I had used for 10 years died so I purchased this Xantrex inverter. It will not invert continually when there is AC power being applied to it. The unit inverts fine otherwise. I have no error messages. The problem is I cannot get hold of anyone at Xantrex, I have called several customer service numbers but keep being sent to the person who is responsible for the Freedom inverters at Schneider Electric but they do not pick up the phone. I have been trying to get this issue fixed for two months now.TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.I suggest going with Outback...

Get the correct setup and this can't be beat

I own the complete Freedom SW system in my 5th wheel. It is an amazing piece of technology. I ended up spending $2,000 for all 4 components. You should do your research on the Xantrex website before buying this unit and thinking it will do everything. It is a part of a multi piece complete system to really warrant to price. I have a 6 battery Lifeline AGM bank that this system is tied to with an Onan 5.5kW LP generator. The system detects if my batteries are running below my pre-defined level and automatically starts the generator to re-charge them. You can set quiet hours on the generator so it doesn't start in the middle of the night... Overall, it is an AMAZING system. I did not buy it at Amazon because Amazon doesn't sell it directly. I would of had to of purchased it from 3 different retailers, so I just went with another ecommerce guy. The complete system consists of:Xantrex Freedom SW3012 12V 3000W Inverter/ChargerXANTREX AGS AUTOMATIC GENERATOR START for SW2012 SW3012 (NEEDS SCP) (16523)SYSTEM CONTROL PANELDoesn't appear Amazon sells the EMS piece.... Pure Sine Goodness!!!
