2Does not properly charge iPad2
By Trevor
USB port can charge up to 2.1Amp (apples max iPad charge rate) but due to how apple has designed their USB cable this inverter only charge at less then 1Amp. This does constitute as charging the IPad but not nearly as fast as its designed to.No load current draw is 0.5Amp NOT the 0.15Amp that the MFG specifies. With the iPad connected directly to the USB port it only draws 0.9Amp's.Also fan kicks into high within 20sec of turning on (regardless of load). Fan is quite loud!

5Great Quality

Until I spoke to Wagan about a overheating problem with my 200 watt and 400 watt unit did not know 150 watt is recommended for cars.

2Works, but NOISY
By Tempest790
I purchased this as a second inverter for my other car. My Duracell 175 just died, but at least it was quiet. I got about 2 years out of it, so I don't think it's that great reliability wise. This Wagan inverter is also very slim, but not nearly as small as the Duracell. My biggest peeve is the fan noise. It's too loud. I'm sure with all the tech advances we've made in the world, someone can come up with a fan that doesn't sound like a jet taking off.Unfortunately, all the current inverters are made in China, so you'll see the exact same inverter being sold by different companies and this one is no exception. Quality control is non-existent, so it'll be the luck of the draw if you get a reliable one. The Duracell is smaller in every dimension and a lot quieter, but like I said, it may not last. I've also noticed the price of these inverters going up a lot for whatever reason. Low wattage inverters used to cost $20-$25 now run about $40.
