a waste

I wanted to use this power a tiny car air compressor. I plugged in the compressor and it lights up. I turn it on and nothing happens. I would send it back, but given the cost, it isn't worth the hassle.

Operates worldwide - universal input - very nice

This is a very nice little product. It is not heavy and can be easily packed for travel. It has a universal input, meaning it will work from 100v-240v and 50 Hz or 60 Hz. The 1 Amp output current appears to be a conservative rating.

The product is not as described

It is supposed to be a 12V 1000 mA adapter. The 1000 mA rating is key differentiator from the 12V 500 mA adaptors being sold all over eBay. Well, the unit I received reads "12V 500 mA" on the package and 12V max 800 mA" on the unit itself. Neither is 1000 mA.For the price it is not worth sending the unit back and arguing with the seller, but the unit is definitely not what I was expecting based on its description.
