Superior Customer Service

The product was actually shipped to me by a 3rd party vendor RV Supply Warehouse which Amazon.com often does.The unit was DOA (Dead on Arrival) which caused me some concern about getting it fixed.I called Xantex (the manufacturer) and they said I had to deal with the actual vendor.I sent an email to RV Supply Warehouse and the matter was taken car of. They paid and arranged for UPS to pick the unit up and I had the replacemnet shortly after that. The woman I was emailing did a fantastic job in my opinion. I'm big on customer service so I would gladly buy items from RV Supply Warehouse again.The product itself is working as advertised. It has an all metal external case and the terminal blocks are good. My only negative comment/concern is about the product design. It has no external circuit breaker/fuse. It only has an internal fuse. If it trips (it hasn't yet), it must be sent back to the factory for repair. Given the environment in which this product will be used, it doesn't seem to be a great idea.Greg

1000 Watt Xantrex Power Inverter Review

Dual-Outlet High Wattage Power InvertersHey, just bought this new and I directly hooked it up to a car battery via jumper cables and it works flawlessly. It comes with a 2.5ft cable and may not be long enough for my needs, so I tested it using jumper cables. Hooked it up directly, no grounding or anything yet, and it powered both a 1994 27 inch Magnavox TV and my cheap Durabrand surround sound stereo. Have not tried it for long periods of time yet but will do when I get back home. It has a built-in fan and only turns on when it starts to get warm, but does not have external fuses or anything, so if it busts then it must be returned to the company or the seller. Very small, easy to carry, and normal design, not flashy or anything. Will right another review later when I will test it in my old car powering a Panasonic home surround sound, which rates 500 watts input, and driving for a long period of time. So far, I am extremely pleased with the product.
