Great unit

I haven't had a single problem with my power station and have used it to jump everything from 4 to 8 cylinder engines. It definitely needs to be recharged after every jump, but that's the price to pay for a more compact unit. If you need it repeatedly, you have more serious auto problems that need to be addressed with a mechanic. For an emergency jump, this will do the trick. On a completely dead battery, it takes a few minutes to pump enough power in to make an attempt. I've had three jumpstarters over the years (I rarely need them, but would rather be prepared, and don't want to run someone down to use jumper cables) and this has been the best one by far. AGM technology keeps the charge for much longer than the old style gel batteries.

It is a Toy

I purchased the Peak Portable Power System 300 - PKC0ASprimarily for its air compressor.After airing up one 17 inch tire, the battery was almost dead.And it took a full five minutes to accomplish the task.Also, the instructions state to recharge it every four months when not used.Mine was discharged almost completely after two months.So, I recommend against this model unless you only need to air up low capacity tires (e.g., bicycles, lawn mowers, etc.).While I haven't used it for jump starting, confidence is low.

this is ok i just bought one at the store

I had left my head lights on well in the dentist for an hour and a half it was so dead even the door locks remote would not work went to the store and bought this box clipped it on and bingo! I took off one star it has no night light
