MAGNUM MS2812 PURE SINE WAVE INVERTER/CHARGER

Inverter arrived in the time frame required. It arrived in good condition as the inverter is very heavy and the shipping container showed no signs of having been thrown around and damaged. I am taking one star away as I later discovered that during inspection that it was missing several needed parts. The side cover for electrical connections, the battery terminal covers, and the temperature probe and owners manual were not in the shipping box. I contacted Magnum and they informed me that this item is how they ship it out to Coach builders and they refer to it as the UPS box. Normally the install kit is also included which contains the missing items mentioned. They provided me with this item after requesting a copy of the original invoice, pictures of the original shipping container, picture of the UPS label and answering questions of who provided me with the inverter. So I did not want to contact Amazon as I felt that they would just want me to return the inverter as it arrived undamaged and at a good price. I felt a little inconvenience on my part was worth the value of Amazon's price. Magnum was very good to deal with and very helpful in providing me with what I needed and in a timely fashion. There was no charge to me from Magnum to do this as I was able to provide them with all the information that they required. They originally quoted me a price of $40.00 and shipping for these items but they did send them to me at no additional expense. I am not sure this would be the case for anyone else or in the future.

Quality of product

Bought as upgrade for my motorhome which had 2000 watt Magnum inverter from the factory. Wanted pure sine wave so my digital clocks would not flip out on inverter power and microwave and other appliances would not hum so much as motorhome builder used lower end Magnum in luxury coach. Exact fit for mounting as same size and mounting hole patterns as original, easy electrical connections. Had to upgrade battery fuse amp rating per Magnum but not a big deal. Original is 2007 with no issues under "full-timer" use so expect the same from this one. Magnum has people that actually answer the phone and give any technical advice you need. Made in U.S.A. so even better

The old original unit quit charging the batteries. This was our choice for a replacement. It is approximately the size of the old unit and fit the space ok. Seems to be working just fine. We haven't had it installed very long.
